Haven Cottage is a 2-bedroom property (1 double, 1 twin) located on Millburn Street in Kirkcudbright. The street runs parallel to St Mary Street, where most of the shops can be found, and it is convenient and quiet. There is central heating and double-glazing in all rooms.

Ground floor – Hallway with shoe rack, mirror etc.,
Lounge (16ft3 x 11ft3). A large, bright room with a nice fireplace. Gas fire, TV (& Freeview box) with DVD player, side tables, sofa and armchairs. Local area leaflets, maps & books. Under-stairs storage cupboard with ironing board etc.
Kitchen/ diner (12ft4 x 11ft6). Ample fitted units, gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer with milk and margerine, dining table and chairs. Window to rear, stable door to outside area (partially covered). All crockery, cutlery and accessories provided. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, breakfast cereals, cooking oils, sugar etc.
Outside: small paved area with table and chairs for ‘al fresco’ dining. Pot plants. Drying area. 2 bikes available for guests to use (helmets also provided) - 1 is adult, the other is either a lady's or teen-sized bike. We make no assurances about the bikes - to us they are in decent condition but guests use the bikes entirely at their own risk. We are not a bike hire business.
Upstairs -
Bedroom 1 (12ft5 x 11ft3). An attractive, bright room with twin beds, chest of drawers, wardrobe with extra bedding, hair dryer, small TV with Playstation 2 (also plays DVDs - this TV does not at present have a Freeview box so it can only be used for playing games or watching DVDs).  East-facing window.
Bedroom 2 (11ft4 x 9ft7 plus walk-in hanging space). Pretty room with west-facing window giving view down Gladstone Place to Kirkcudbright Bridge and hills beyond. Walk-in wardrobe with hanging rail and shoe storage etc, chest of drawers, double bed, etc.
Bathroom – Newly refurbished for 2009. White and cream, part-tiled. Bath with shower over, WC, hand basin, mirror, extractor fan. Loo roll, shower gel, towels etc. provided.                   

Also upstairs is a shelved storage cupboard on the landing, with a selection of games, magazines and books.

Please bring your own cot and highchair if you need them.

Internet - it is possible to access BT wi fi at the cottage. If you are not a BT broadband customer already you may need to purchase a temporary (5 day) BT wi fi pass for £15.
